UM Miami hurricanes basketball schedule UM Jim Larranaga Coach ready for Memphis playing home Coral Gables

The University of Miami Hurricane basketball team
Schedule under new coach Jim Larranaga
Snapped a 2 game losing streak
with a hard fought win over UMASS.
Durand Scott had a rough shooting night
but was lights out from the free throw line
making close to 10 straight free throws.

The new coach has always had talented big men
surrounding his basketball programs though he even admits
that UM needs to get better on the inside.
Larkin has been a pleasant surprise for the team as he is making
clutch shots and a decent defender.



Memphis will be a real test for the hurricanes
UM will go into the game 5-2
Against a Memphis team that is ranked 21 in the country.
A real athletic squad that could cause some turmoil in the hurricanes front line.
If the hurricanes are going to beat Memphis
they will need Durand Scott to break even on his shot attempts.

Looking at the remaining schedule
the hurricanes have some obvious tests in duke
And facing in state rival Florida state on feb 11th..
You could see this team win most of these games
and sneak into the top 20 toward the end of the season.
